Death of the human vessel

Glass, burrocast, coins

This piece is a conceptual exploration of what takes a human being to transition from an object into a subject. Here, being an object is represented as having your identity based on the use that the exterior world imposes on you. As the glasses, when someone objectifies us we are not validated for our inner essence but for the extent to which ´our content´ is able to satisfy other´s desires: their thrist for sex, their thrist for money, their thrist for prestige. Conversely, here being a subject is showcased as something whose distinctive trait is having an interiority on its own, being free of manipulation.
